Refund policy
Safety shops returns and refunds
Our standard return-request window is 90 days from each item's delivery. Our current online cancellation-request window is 60 minutes after placing an order. These commercial rules do not limit any mandatory consumer rights, including the EU right of withdrawal described below.
EU right of withdrawal
For eligible purchases, EU consumers may notify us that they wish to withdraw without giving a reason within 14 days, starting from delivery of the last item on the order. If the final day falls on a weekend or public holiday, the period extends to the next business day. You may also notify us of withdrawal before delivery.
Starting a request
Sign in to your customer account, open your order, and select the available return or cancellation action. If the online action is unavailable, contact us using the contact details provided with your order. An unavailable online action does not remove your statutory rights. Keep a copy of your withdrawal notice.
Sending items back
After notifying us of withdrawal, send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your notice. Contact us for the return address and shipping instructions before dispatching the goods. Keep proof of shipment. Safetyshops pays the direct return shipping costs for EU statutory withdrawals and does not charge a restocking fee for them.
Refunds
For an EU statutory withdrawal, we reimburse payments, including the cost of standard outbound delivery, without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice. Additional costs for a delivery method more expensive than our least expensive standard delivery option are not reimbursed. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence of sending them back, whichever occurs first, unless we have offered to collect them. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without refund fees.
Condition of returned goods and exemptions
You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. You may be responsible for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
Statutory exemptions may apply, including goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized goods, goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, and sealed goods unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons that have been unsealed after delivery. An exemption applies only where its legal conditions are met. Defective-goods rights and other mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
